MORE THAN SNACKS

Tapas are more than just snacks in Andalusia. The word means, literally a lid and the term was thought to have come from the habit of having a few nibbles with a drink and the necessity of placing a saucer or tapas on top of a glass to keep the flies out.

Eating one or two tapas with a glass of sherry or wine will enhance the taste experience and also slow down the effect of the alcohol.

Each tapas is no more than a bite, so you can either sample two or three before dinner, or you can make a meal of them. Tapas are generally eaten standing at the bar rather than sitting at a table and the list is generally displayed on a blackboard.

Full Day
PROGRAMME

Full day program including Ronda (the most beautiful village in Andalusia). Guided visit to an organic vineyard with wine tasting followed by a visit in the village. Transport included in my car.

Meeting at 9:00am at the colourful Marbella market that has great produce and seafood (you will learn the difference between wild fish and farm-raised fish)

Followed by a visit to an olive oil shop specialised in the best extra virgen olive oil in Spain with tasting (you can buy if you wish) 10:30am

Cooking class in my garden and lunch 11:30am

After lunch departure at 3:30pm approx. to Ronda (1 hour trip through beautiful mountains)

4:30pm approx. guided visit to the organic vineyard followed by tasting and tapas for 2 hours

After the vineyard, historical visit to Ronda village

Welcome to my house with green tea and fresh mint

Starter: Water Melon Gazpacho (summer)

Aperitif: Will be served at 1:30pm with Andalusian nibbles

Main Dish: Seafood Tapas (wild fish and shellfish) or Seafood Paella with vegetables or Whole Wild Fish Baked in Salt

Dessert: Almond Mousse with Mascarpone, Strawberries and a Coulis
